Things to keep in mind in Da Nang
This is a list of all things you need to keep in mind when traveling to Da Nang (and others):

Exchange Cash
If you need money to pay for taxi from airport to hotel, just exchange a small amount at airport money exchanger.
There are many cash exchangers but some of them trick you, they apply very low exchange rates. So you should exchange at the banks (open Google map search: Vietcombank, MB Bank, Dong A bank, Techcombank and choose the one closest to you).
You can also cash-out from ATMs using Visa Card, Master Card…
Transportation.
I recommend booking through Grab app. This is the safest way and the most reasonable price. You can also call taxi brands: Mai Linh, Tien Sa…
Attentions:
– All transportation cars must have yellow background plates.
– Do not listen to offers from drivers, especially cars with white background plates. White plate is illegal for passenger transport services and may be stopped by traffic police. They often overcharge.
– Do not use InDrive app because they is unregistered application and is illegal in Vietnam, so your rights will not be protected.
With Grab, you should use card/wallet payment method instead of cash.

Experience in Restaurants and Shopping.
If you are recommanded by experienced friends, just go there. Don’t listen to drivers because they will suggest a restaurant or shopping place where they get paid a referral commission. Restaurant, shop owners alway charge higher prices than other places.
Always ask the price before eating or drinking.
Careful of Thieves.
When going into crowded places such as airports, train stations, bus stations, markets (especially night markets), walking streets… always keep an eye on your wallet, jewelry, and phone.
